Nothern Mockingbird
The popular Mockingbird is the state bird for Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas. Common across much of the eastern and southern United States, Mockingbirds are found in a wide range of habitats. These aptly named birds are excellent mimics, often copying the sounds of other birds, mammals and insects. Their evening song can often be heard late in the night, particularly under moonlit skies.
