Mourning Dove
Mourning Doves are common across much of the United States and southern Canada. They have adapted well to life around humans, and can be seen in parks, backyards and fields. Sometimes they roost in large groups in sheltered areas. Their soft pinkish-gray color and cooing sounds make them easy to identify. Mourning doves eat a variety of seeds and will come to feeders.
